Heavy revisions were seen in 2017 and 2022. Now the 2024 Honda Grom gets new colors.

American Honda celebrates the 10-year anniversary of its Grom streetbike. The year 2014 seems like not so long ago, but we’re hit with the reality of time passing with the introduction of the 2024 Honda Grom.

Editor’s note: We have reviewed the entire line of Honda’s minimoto segment during the 2021 Honda Trail 125 ABS MC Commute Review, 2021 Honda Trail 125 ABS First Ride Review, 2019 Honda Monkey First Ride Review, and 2019 Honda Super Cub C125 MC Commute Review and videos. For its decade anniversary, the Honda Grom is hitting the market in a collection of new colors.

The base model flaunts Blue Raspberry, Pearl White, and Nitric Orange bodywork. The ABS version comes in Pearl White and the SP comes in Matte Gray Metallic.

The Grom’s engine is peppy, yet it’s a fantastic fuel sipper with a claimed 166.5 mpg.

There’s still a lot to love in such a tiny package. Honda’s electronically fuel-injected 124cc air-cooled single thrums away with two valves working on an overhead camshaft. When the revised version hit US shores in 2022 it brought with it a five-speed transmission, which is still equipped on this latest model.

Other revisions that we saw in 2022 carry over as well. Riders will still be filling up a 1.6-gallon fuel tank at the pump and looking down at an LCD dash to check the bike’s vitals.

This miniMOTO was introduced in 2014 to get timid new riders on two wheels, but it also created its very own subculture craze as a customizable machine for the masses, and the same holds true a decade later. The 2024 Honda Grom has four body panels that attach and detach for easy customizing.

Lithe and low are the Grom’s MO. With only a claimed 224 pounds (227 pounds for the ABS-equipped version) the Grom is easy to pluck off the kickstand and set loose on the city streets. Combine that with a low 30-inch seat height and it’s a superbly approachable ride for pilots with varying inseams.

Gold rims and special graphics on the Matte Gray Metallic body work make the Grom SP stand out in its own way.

Like the engine, chassis components like the tiny 12-inch cast wheels (that are gold on the SP model), 31mm inverted fork, single shock, and 220mm/190mm disc brake combo remain unchanged.

The 2024 Grom ($3,599) and ABS-equipped version ($3,799) are available in June and the Grom SP ($3,699) is available in August.
