The Aprilia RSV4 is powered by a 1078cc, 65 degree V4 engine that develops a staggering 217 horsepower and 122 Nm (90 ft-lbs) of torque. Equipped with launch control, traction control and wheelie control, it weighs about 199kg in wet conditions.

The Yamaha YZF-R1, on the other hand, is powered by his 998cc in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and 112 Nm (82.6 ft-lbs) of torque. The Yamaha Inertial Measurement Unit includes gyros and accelerometers that enhance the Yamaha Ride Control system, including traction control, slide control, launch control, lift control, and a quick shift system with a speed adjustment function that achieves seamless shifting.
